Profound

By Anitya

Reading back over my posts over the year, I am reminded that most of the insights I’ve posted about don’t seem that profound when they are written down.

And to be honest, they probably aren’t.

Be kind to people, be aware of what is happening, don’t let emotions cloud your judgement, they are all pretty much things that we already know.

Most religions and spiritual lifestyles even acknowledge this.

There is a great story about Moses who is sitting beside God while He is hammering down the Ten Commandments.

After a few Commandments Moses begins to snigger and as God progresses to put down more Moses is having more and more difficulty to contain his laughter.

Finally God testily turns to him and asks what he is laughing about.

Moses replies that these of course are great commandments, but that he is laughing about the fact that God apparently thinks that they couldn’t come up with these themselves.

In any case, it doesn’t really matter if any practice is profound or special, the important thing is that it works.

I’ve experienced this for myself and hope that you will find some inspiration in these simple yet effective thoughts.

Have a good day!
